New Group, grown out of the former ‘Western Philosophy’ group, which meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 16:00, usually in members’ homes, with venue arranged at previous meeting.

The aim is to follow and discuss ‘The Penguin History of Europe’ by JM Roberts, in order to follow European history in an accessible form from the Neolithic to the present day. Use will also be made of ‘The Times History of Europe’, with its many maps of Europe at different stages of development. If you have always wanted to learn about European history but have never dared to ask, now is your great opportunity; our great history journey is just beginning!
